Honkai: Star Rail version 3.0 was recently announced, with the developer detailing its release date, coming content and characters, even providing information about the game’s new main theme. Honkai: Star Rail players clearly are very excited about the content coming in the new version 3.0. Most especially, fans are more excited about the introduction of a new region called Amphoreus, and two 5-star characters namely Herta and Aglaea.

From the announcement, Honkai: Star Rail has been slated for release on January 15, 2025. With the past version 2.7 – which made waves after its release and ran through December 2024 – still in the heart of Star Rail fans, players are expecting something even more epic. On that note, Honkai: Star Rail version 2.7 introduced 2 five-star characters, Sunday and Figue while returning Jing Yuan and Firefly to the game’s banner. The version 2.7 also added two Lightcones, all-new events, missions, and several updates to the Divergent Universe, Pure Fiction, and Memory of Chaos modes.

That said, Honkai: Star Rail version 3.0 is a great way to start off a year. Although the version 3.0 of Honkai: Star Rail wouldn’t feature the best-known locations, it would introduce a few new characters and settings while keeping popular figures around in the game.

It’s worth noting that the version 3.0 confirmed several leaks and rumors with the most noteworthy being the addition of Trailblazer (Remembrance) – which can summon Mem, a creature that can help an ally deal true damage once its meter is full, – and also the inclusion of The Herta and Aglaea. Both coming characters are five-star characters with the former being a five-star Ice and Erudition, and the latter being a five-star Lightning and Remembrance. That said, Herta would be available from January 14 to February 5, while Aglaea would be available just after that period and would remain accessible till February 25.

Notably, Penacony would no longer be featured in the game and would be replaced with the much anticipated new world of Amphoreus. Honkai: Star Rail, alongside the Amphoreus region, would feature characters from the region, 6 new Lightcones, and two new items being the Variable Dice and Wishful Resin. Familiar characters would also return and rerun on the game’s banner.

Amphoreus’ theme music would be crafted with the music artist Ikura of YOASOKI, to keep the hype going. In conclusion, the Honkai: Star Rail version 3.0 would be an epic one. And as fans look forward to the game’s content later in January, it would be just the right time to kick off the year 2025.
