Activision is currently struggling with giving a concise date to roll out the Call of Duty Warzone Season 2 update. It is expected that such update might come in January 28th, but one can never know. Call of Duty Warzone has been fairly popular inside the deluge of multiple battle royale titles. We at Infinite Start will discuss the issues as to why this update got delayed.
Cheaters, cheaters everywhere
Much to the like of many games in the bloated battle royale genre, cheaters and hackers tend to be recurrent issues. Since the beginning of these live services, they roam the lobbies, finding ways to ruin other users fun. However, there is proper ways to stop them, but sadly no company making these games tends to prioritize that.
Call of Duty Warzone Season 2 update was awaited by many players of the game, but it seems that they will have to wait a bit more. It is rare of Activision to try and take care of the cheating issue, since they have been rather inefficient while doing so. If players tried bringing more light to the issues, maybe Activision might hear them. But they might as well just add another cosmetic to pacify those who protest.
The issues have been going for quite a while now, almost 2 years according to a popular post about the problem with other games of the IP. This shows that Activision has different priorities on the table when it comes to making their games. Maybe we will see a change of heart suddenly, perhaps the delay of Call of Duty Warzone Season 2’s might get Activision to do the right thing for once.
It is rather baffling to see that a lot of their games deal with such issues. But judging from Activision’s reputation these years, it was rather expected of them. With how things have been going lately for them after Microsoft’s acquisition, maybe Call of Duty Warzone Season 2’s update might be their last.
