The popular game streaming service by Nvidia is getting an upgrade. Baldur’s Gate 3 gets mod support on the platform. Nvidia’s GeForce Now streaming service is an alternative to be able to play newer games on less powerful PCs. Provided of course that you can pay for the service, ranging from multiple fees to just rent some hours. It is important to note that only subscribed users will be able to use these features. We at Infinite Start will cover the topic in depth.

Cloud Gaming

Cloud Gaming has been an interesting concept. However, as interesting as it is, it represents a great hazard to the concept of ownership. Leaving obvious statements aside, for those who are interested, Nvidia and developer Larian Studios teamed up to bring modding support to the platform.

It is obvious to say, however, that these will only be some popular mods that have been carefully selected by Larian themselves. It would be cool if Baldur’s Gate 3 gets mod support in other platforms, but its something that we shouldn’t be expecting. Consoles are highly proprietary and being able to do mods on them is basically impossible. There is ways to get around this, but with patches getting rolled out to remove exploits on consoles, it has become way harder.

Baldur’s Gate 3 was greatly acclaimed upon release, becoming one of the most successful AA titles. RPGs are a genre that never gets old, despite what many trend chasing studios want you to believe.

To have access to these mods, it is important to know that you need to be a subscriber with the Ultimate payment tier on GeForce Now Streaming. This is of course rather convenient for Nvidia themselves. Not to mention that connecting to such services means that you not even own the game. It is important to make good decisions when using money, and saving up for a PC is the best bet.
