Developer Nihon Falcom recently announced the release of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Remake, formerly The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st, to be slated for fall in 2025. Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Remake would be launched simultaneously on Nintendo Switch, Playstation 5, and Steam.
The remake would be published by GungHo Online Entertainment in the west, being available in both English and Japanese voice-overs, but with English, Japanese, French, and German subtitles. The remake would be a total revamp to the original story from The Legends of Heroes: Trials in the Sky.
After the release of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Remake, physical editions of the game would sell for $59.99|€59.99 on Amazon in North America and Europe respectively. The game’s Collector’s Editions would be released at a later date but would be develop by Limited Run Games.
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Remake is set in Liberl Kingdom – a fully revamped 3D environment from the original, with unique characters like Joshua and Estelle being refined.The game boasts a combat system that introduces new ideas, smoothly combining ‘Field Action’ and ‘Command Battle’ modes. Additionally, each character’s unique skills and abilities are showcased in a way that’s constantly changing and progressing.
While maintaining the visually attractive backdrop of Liberl Kingdom, the game offers a wide range of quests and additional activities that support the main gameplay, providing players with a vivid experience of traveling across the kingdom from their own perspective.In addition to exhilarating and stress-free combat, which allows seamless switching between the two battle modes “Field Action” and “Command Battle,” each character’s Crafts and Arts are on dynamic display! While maintaining the scenic image of Liberl Kingdom, Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Remake includes a variety of quests and numerous side activities that allow players to fully experience the feeling of traveling across the kingdom from their own perspective.
