SEGA has an exciting surprise for Gamescom 2024 attendees. The company will present a lineup featuring three playable games, including one that remains unannounced. Gamescom, held in Cologne, Germany, will be the stage for this reveal.
Among the playable titles, Sonic X Shadow Generations and Metaphor: ReFantazio will make their European debut. Fans can try these games for the first time in Europe. Sonic X Shadow Generations is a remastered version of the 2011 platformer Sonic Generations. This new version includes upgraded visuals, new bonus content, and a fresh story campaign featuring Shadow the Hedgehog.
Attendees can also experience Metaphor: ReFantazio, an RPG from Atlus, directed by Katsura Hashino. Known for the Persona series and Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, Hashino brings a rich cast of characters and intricate combat to this new fantasy game. The SEGA booth will feature a giant Seeker statue from Metaphor: ReFantazio for fans to photograph.
SEGA promises additional attractions at their stand. Fans can meet Sonic the Hedgehog and pose for photos with a custom-built Shadow motorcycle. This blend of new games and interactive experiences aims to make SEGA’s presence at Gamescom memorable.
As for the unannounced game, SEGA remains tight-lipped. The anticipation surrounding this secret title adds an extra layer of excitement for those attending the event.
