Everything Announced During State of Play May 2024

Earlier today Sony held their latest State of Play, which included some expected reveals, along with big surprises. To make things easier, a full listing of things announced can be found below.

Monster Hunter Wilds

Capcom finally gave players their first look at Monster Hunter Wilds. The exciting new entry will excite fans in 2025.

Marvel Rivals

Previously revealed hero shooter Marvel Rivals will also be coming to consoles. If that isn’t enough, a closed beta was also revealed.

Astro Bot

Sony revealed Astro Bot, a new adventure game set in the beloved world of the same name. Over 50 worlds will be present to explore, and feature a wide array of cute references. Expect a lot of fun on Sept. 6.

God of War Ragnarok

Fan favorite God of War Ragnarok will hit PC on Sept. 19, 2024.

Concord

Firewalk’s highly anticipated 5v5 PVP shooter, Concord, got a cinematic and gameplay trailer. The bit shown includes exotic maps and exciting characters that looks to be something worth keeping an eye on. Expect this and more when Concord releases on Aug. 23, 2024.

Silent Hill 2

Bloober Team take on Silent Hill 2 is set to release on Oct. 8, 2024.

Dragon Ball: Sparkling! Zero

Bandai Namco showcased more characters for Dragon Ball: Sparkling! Zero besides Goku and Vegeta.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Omega Force’s latest entry in their beloved Dynasty Warriors series will be Dynasty Warriors: Origins. This entry is said to be a new era in 1 versus 1,000 action, with Head of Omega Force and Dynasty Warriors: Origins producer, Tomohiko Sho, adding the following remark.

Ballad of Antara

TipsWorks Studio and Infoldgames revealed their fantasy action game, Ballad of Antara. The chilling adventure game looks like it captures fantasy and mystery in an interesting way. Expect more details when it releases in 2025.

Skydance’s Behemoth

Skydance Games gave a first look at their upcoming PlayStation VR2 action adventure game, Skydance’s Behemoth. Vice President of Creative, Shawn Kittelsen, added the following about the VR adventure.

Skydance’s BEHEMOTH really builds on the melee combat and hand-based physics from The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. Knowing players want to be fully immersed, we’ve married these advanced mechanics with a storytelling engine that drives the player’s progression through the Forsaken Lands on their way to fight mountains.

Until Dawn

Beloved narrative experience, Until Dawn, will return on PlayStation 5 and PC in Fall 2024.

Alien Rogue Incursion

Alien returns with a VR experience called Alien Rogue Incursion. This scary and atmospheric adventure is set to terrify players in holiday 2024.

Where Winds Meet

A new Wuxia open-world action adventure RPG, Where Winds Meet, was revealed. It boasts an exciting world to explore, and bosses to overcome.

Path of Exiles 2

Previously revealed Path of Exiles 2 will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Early access is expected in late 2024, and will support cross-play and cross-progression.

Garten of Banban

Garten of Banban 1 through 4 is now available on PlayStation 5.

Infinity Nikki

Beloved open-world dress up adventure game Nikki is heading to PlayStation 5 with Infinity Nikki. No release date was given, but a test is set for Q3 2024.
