X (Twitter) user MercWMouthMVS posted an image showing MultiVersus at their local McDonalds.
The message reads Binnenkort in je Happy Meal in Dutch, which Google Translate lists as saying “soon in your Happy Meal.”
While this might initially seem like an elaborate fake, there is some reason to believe this is legitimate. As of this post the current Happy Meal toys are of Crash Team Rumble, the almost forgotten competitive multiplayer game set in the Crash Bandicoot universe. It features toys of Crash characters, plus Spyro, who was part of the second season.
The other, far more important thing, is how many signs point to a MultiVersus returning sometime soon. Earlier this year the beta came to an end with then “full launch” set for “early 2024.” Some players had doubts, something that increased overtime as the MultiVersus team remained silent about what they’re working on.
MVPs, thank you for the support during Open Beta! The feedback and inspiration has been amazing. Open Beta will close on June 25 as we prepare for full launch in early 2024. #MultiVersus will be back better than ever with new content, features, modes & more when we return.

Along with the timing making a lot of sense, X (Twitter) user AusilMV noted a number of changes were made to the Steam version of MultiVersus.
All of this remains speculation, though given The Game Awards takes place tonight at 7:30P ET / 4:30P PT there is a good chance these things might be related. Even if they’re not, a lot of signs point to something big happening with MultiVersus in the near future.
