Modern Warfare 3 is looming on the horizon, with the game’s campaign early access kicking off later this week. In preparation for the impending launch, Activision has released a new trailer highlighting how customizable the experience on PC so that a wide range of configurations can be accommodated. In fact, the publisher states there are “500+ customization options” awaiting PC players, allowing players to fine-tune the game for the best possible performance for their rig.
Activision has chosen to highlight a handful of the several hundred options in an all-new trailer, as well as the Call of Duty Blog. Given that Modern Warfare 3 is built on the same engine as its predecessor from last year, it’s no surprise to see inclusions like 4K textures, ultrawide support, Nvidia’s low latency Reflex setting, and so on. The only standout newcomer to the scene this year is the addition of DLSS 3, which is only relevant to those rocking Nvidia’s Frame Generation-enabled 40 Series GPUs. However, if you have an RTX card from the 20 or 30 Series lineup, you can still use the older DLSS 2 in-game to boost that framerate.
If you are looking to dive into the action as soon as possible and tweak that lengthy list of settings for day one of multiplayer, your first opportunity will be the campaign early access period that unlocks on November 2nd at 10AM PT. Pre-loading for the campaign will occur the day before, November 1st, at 9AM PT. If you aren’t too concerned about what Task Force 141 is up to, the multiplayer and zombie modes will go live on November 10th at 9PM PT.
