Rumor: Destiny 2’s Next Reprised Raid Will be Crota’s End

According to multiple insiders the next reprised Destiny 2 raid will be Crota’s End.

This started a few days ago when Xeno mentioned this and provided some potential details about the revised raid. This includes Oversoul Edict returning, along with changes to the raid itself.

  • Crota’s End with new mechanics.
  • Oversoul Edict (PULSE RIFLE) is for returning
  • New mechanic is “hard to describe on viewing”
  • Riven’s Heart style mechanic with passing around Light while managing buff
  • The director in the trailer calls it “hot potato”
  • Light passing buff is on all encounters
  • Crota Encounter has been changed, with “something different with the sword”
  • No confirmation on if Necrochasm is returning

None of these details should come as a surprise to Destiny 2 players, as Crota’s End was notoriously easy. In fact, the raid was so easy it was long considered the easiest way to get the Flawless Raider trophy/achievement.

Shortly after the initial post, notable Destiny 2 leaker Liz confirmed they’ve heard from multiple people the returning raid is Crota’s End. She provided no further details besides saying her post has nothing to do with the aforementioned Xeno leak.

Expect a reveal or more details towards the end of the season.
