After a string of annoying Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty bosses, Zhang Liao is a notable exception. This doesn’t mean he lacks any difficulty, as his lightning attacks are fearsome, but without the spirit gimmick he is pretty doable. How to Defeat Zhang Liao in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

Set Up

Since Zhang Liao uses lightning attacks, Wood resistance helps a lot. I also strongly suggest using a faster weapon, as he has similar shortcomings as the first boss.

If you’re having difficulties beyond this, the latest sub battlefield will give you the key needed to get into the backyard of the one base building. There you will find a Dragon Cure Pot upgrade. This is also the first stage with rank eight materials, which can be used to further enhance your gear.

Defeating Zhang Liao

Despite the various lightning based attacks, he can be stun locked with normal attacks. Even if you can’t deflect his critical hits, you should be able to just overwhelm him.
