Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios announced the third expansion for Back 4 Blood, River of Blood.
Black 4 Blood: River of Blood will have a new five map mission campaign where players need to collect supplies and fight off new threats. Along with campaign, this expansion adds Tala, a former cultist outcast, as a playable cleaner. Not much was revealed about her, but she will be able to summon a friendly Tallboy, named Jeff, to aid players on this new adventure. In addition to her, the expansion also gives eight exclusive character skins, 12 weapon skins, and new weapons, accessories and cards.
All of this will be available on Dec. 6 for free to Annual Pass holders or via standalone purchase.
If that isn’t exciting enough, a new PVE mode, Trial of the Worm, will be released for free to all players on the same day. The new experience is described as a cooperative PVE mode where players need to select a path and complete a four-map chain. Certain paths will have more resistance than others, with players earning additional Supply Points for overcoming them. For the really hardcore players out there, Trial of the Worm also boasts a point system and online leaderboard.
Finally, Back 4 Blood will host another holiday event, which will start on Dec. 6, 2022 and go until Jan. 4, 2023. Unfortunately, it’s not confirmed if this event will feature the same content we saw last year. However, given the previous event items were added to the expansive Duffle Bag pool of items, there will likely be some new items.
