Macca is an in-game currency in Shin Megami Tensei V that is quite important for anyone who wishes to get the most powerful demon in the game and of course buy the much-needed items to survive. With so many things that you will be buying, it is guaranteed that you will run out of them in seconds.
If you find yourself struggling with finding Macca, we are here to help by giving you tips on where or how to farm for them if the need arises.
When you are scouring the barren wasteland of the Netherworld, there will be times you will find a glowing Vending Machine. When you search every vending machine that you find in the world, you will find yourself what they call a Relic, which is like the common thing found in the real world that is worth something in the Netherworld. Each of the Relic that you find carries a heavy price tag and as soon as you find out, bring it to the Merchant from the Cadaver’s Hollow to sell it.
Aside from the glowing Vending Machine, you will find Relics as well as drops from the demon that you find in battle, which includes the elusive Mitama. Other Relics can be found via quest rewards or the items that your trusty sidekick, Amanozak, finds.
Please note that if you are looking for glowing Vending Machines across the Netherworld, there is a respawn time where the items given by the Vending Machine will be replenished.
Another way to farm for Macca is fighting demons. When exploring through the Netherworld, expect to see a lot of demons scouring. Fighting these demons, while exploring, will give you Macca after each fight. If you find yourself having a lot of time, fight every demon you encounter.
Mitamas in Shin Megami Tensei V is like Metal Slime in Dragon Quest games where if you manage to defeat it, you will either get a lot of Macca after a battle or a lot of experience points. If you are lucky enough to encounter one, be sure to defeat it right away because it will escape!
Remember that annoying demon that keeps on following you when exploring the Netherworld? Apparently, that demon can sense treasures nearby and if you have time to explore the Netherworld, Amanozaki can help you find either treasures or Macca.
