Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin launches March 18

Team Ninja and Square Enix are pleased to announce today that Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will launch for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Epic Games Store on March 18, 2022.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a hack-and-slash action RPG game similar to games like Ninja Gaiden that takes place in the world of Final Fantasy. Gamers who missed out on the first trial version on PS5 back several months ago will have an opportunity to get the game a try as Square Enix released a second trial version today for both PS5 and Xbox Series until October 11.

Here’s an overview of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, via Square Enix:

With the memory of their struggle buried deep in their hearts…

In this hard-core action RPG, Jack must hazard numerous challenges to bring the light of the crystals back to Cornelia, a kingdom conquered by darkness.

Fight your way through fierce battles with a variety of means to defeat your enemies. With multiple difficulty options and a wide selection of jobs and weapons available to customize your party, you can choose exactly how you want to play.

Will restoring the crystals’ light usher in peace or a new form of darkness?… Or perhaps something else entirely?

In the second trial version, players will be able to play the content that was released in the first trial version, as well as a new playable area and multiplayer functionality.

The game is currently available for pre-order via Standard Edition for $59.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition for $89.99. A Season Pass will be available in the Deluxe Edition that features additional missions such as Trials of the Dragon King, Wanderer of the Rift, and Different Future. It will also include a digital artbook, and a digital mini soundtrack.

Additionally, players who pre-order will get 72-hours early access to the game starting on March 15, a Bravehart weapon, and the Lustrous Shield. The digital purchase will also give players cross-buy options where if they buy a PS4 version, the PS5 version will be free.
