PlayStation Plus November 2021 Games Announced; Includes Multiple VR Titles

With Nov. fast approaching, Sony revealed which games will be going free with PlayStation Plus.

Next month First Class Trouble, Knockout City and Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will all be included with your PlayStation Plus membership. In honor of PlayStation VR’s fifth anniversary, Sony is also including PlayStation VR titles The Persistence, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Standard Edition and Until You Fall from Nov. 2 until Jan. 3.

Naturally, this line up was met with mixed reactions. While many were pleased with the PlayStation VR offerings, with The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners likely being the best non-Beat Saber or repeat listing Sony could offer, the main games left a bit to be desired.

First Class Trouble is an interesting choice since it’s commonly compared to Among Us, which is set to release on PlayStation consoles Dec. 14, 2021. This could be a huge win, similar to how the lack of PUBG on PlayStation helped Fortnite grow or it could simply hurt both titles in the end.

Knockout City is in an odd position. Not only is it already part of Game Pass, the interesting dodgeball PVP game also has a rather substantial trial where you can enjoy it until level 25. According to reddit posts that gives players a couple of hours to decide if it’s for them or not. This move will, of course, remove that limit though it’s impossible to say how many will actually play beyond what the trial already offers. On a high note, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions also release on Nov. 2.

Finally, Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning joins the rather exclusive repeat listing club. You’ll be forgiven if you forgot or didn’t redeem it, but Sony offered the original PlayStation 3 version back in Oct. 2013. That being said, the single player MMORPG-esque game is still worth giving a go. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel but it does offer a lot to do and a fascinating world to explore.
