No Zelda game would be complete without an ice level and Unsighted is no exception. As you progress through the aquarium there are a number of bosses, including a mini-boss known as the Arthropod King. The crab can be fearsome, though learning How to Defeat the Arthropod King in Unsighted depends on your tactic.
Similar to previous fights, the Flameblade and Auto Blaster are extremely useful against the Arthropod King. If you want to do it quickly, those who collected Raquel’s Axe before arriving at this dungeon can make quick work of him if you’re good at managing stamina.
Unlike the previous bosses, the Arthropod King essentially has three moves. It will always start by swinging its claws at you three times (right, left, both), jump four or five times, and then summon adds with a bubble beam. I do believe bubble beam is always coded to shoot to the side you’re not on first, meaning you can focus on enemies, though it is possible I just got lucky in my attempt.
The basic tactic is extremely simple. Wait for the claw to attack and perfect parry. Doing this will leave the claw open to a critical hit, making quick and easy work of it. Once you break a claw, you’ll expose an open area to actually damage the Arthropod King. Please note, both claws need to break to defeat him as each area has a fixed amount of health.
As for the adds, I used the Auto Blaster to fill my syringe instead of really trying. They’re not that hostile, outside of shooting two bullets at you that can easily be parried. The bubble beam also has a huge build-up before you need to dodge, not parry, it, giving you ample time to collect resources if you need them.
