Onimusha 2 Samurai’s Destiny is now free of Denuvo, which means you can now get it in any way you want. The PC version includes some graphical polishing that wasn’t in the PS2 original, yet, it is still nice to play the original game in real hardware like things are meant to be done. At the same time, having the ability to mod and fix the game to your liking on a PC environment is also very neat, it’s always the advantage of having PC ports for games that released on console. PC gaming might not be that popular in Japan, but the rest of the world understand its the best platform for a reason.
Onimusha 2 Samurai’s Destiny has been freed
Now you can find it in any site you may want to download it from. Onimusha is an amazing series of games and people should try them out more, as Capcom needs to experiment with some series it left in the past such as Mega Man and DarkStalkers. There’s a ton of things Capcom needs to do to be able to buy back the reputation they once had, and removing Denuvo from Onimusha 2 Samurai’s Destiny is a nice little step that makes for some good publicity like this one. Things shouldn’t stop here, Capcom should remove Denuvo from every game they have.
Onimusha 2 Samurai’s Destiny is a PS2 classic that looked amazing back in the day, and it still holds quite well even in the eyes of modern players. The fact that they opted to release this game in such a state for PC shows us that the intent was artistic rather than sticking to a limitation. Since games are art, we need to respect the wishes of the artists behind them, and to do that, we need to understand the legacy left by each series.
