Stop Killing Games

Stop Killing Games is succeeding at an alarming rate it is impossible to believe but so far, more than 48% of votes that have been cast are real and there’s still a ton to count. There’s also a need to mention that the majority has been surpassed, and there’s a massive buffer of voters that exceeded the required amount. People are starting to wake up, they wish to own their games like it was back in the good old days where everything was better for gaming, and together we can bring an era similar but perhaps not as great as that one.

Stop Killing Games is successful

15 Countries in Europe have managed to reach the required amount of votes too, this is a huge unprecedented milestone. We still have to wait for the opinion of France and Germany, but it seems they are also in the bag too. This huge victory for gamers can lead to quite the interesting era where people will have to make real games or make these sort of live service titles have a fail safe in case they stop being officially online. Private servers are needed, especially when a game only works under online features, it is criminal to sell something that does not work.

Stop Killing Games aims to tackle the issue of fraudulent sales tactics, by at least placing some tag to show when a game expires, and at most give players the ability to host their legally bought game by themselves. There shouldn’t be any impediment when it comes to playing online games, companies shouldn’t dictate what the customer wants, its the other way around. There’s a ton of good games that have disappeared thanks to the fact that we lack sunsetting plans. A ton of gaming history has been lost thanks to live service systems, but Stop Killing Games aims to reverse that.
