Just in time for grinding during the upcoming seasonal late October gaming event, Diablo 4 players are blessed with the activation of two strong overlapping events from Blizzard Entertainment, namely Mother’s Blessing and Seasonal Splendor boosts. Both events will come into play on October 28 by giving players concurrent resource and experience gains for logging into the current Season of Infernal Chaos. This is a major push to drive engagement as Season 10, which launched in late September, approaches its approximate midway point.
Mother’s Blessing returns by far, most loudly and with the most enthusiasm, as the prime headline of the duo. An important event for a character’s progress, it offers a 35% bonus in experience points and a 50% bonus in all Gold earned through combat and activities. Very importantly, the percentage-based increases are additive and mix with any other buffs a player may have activated. Unlike the Splendor event, which is specific to the season, Mother’s Blessing allocates its generous benefits to characters on both the Seasonal and Eternal Realms so all players may take advantage of the faster level grinding and the quicker accumulation of in-game currency. The add-on also takes notice of former runs-and-awarding an extra Gift of the Tree cache upon turning in Grim Favors-understood to apply here as well.
This particular event goes along with the Seasonal Splendor one laid for that event, which directly links into the mechanics of Season 10. While the developer did not reveal the specific numbers that enhancement gives, it did confirm that the event is expected to increase significantly the speed at which players will be getting Infernal Warp, the main resource stipulated for Season progression and activities. Historically, almost all other similar Splendor events have provided a doubling in income flow for seasonal resources; hence, players would expect to progress very fast through the seasonal tiers during the event. This influx of resource injection is quite timely for players trying to optimize their builds and push to even greater-tier content before the end of the season.
Although the developer did not officially reveal the duration, historical precedent holds that both Mother’s Blessing and Seasonal Splendor run for one week. If this pattern is maintained, players would expect that this dual boost period ends on November 3. This positions the boosted activity right in the middle of the Season 10 launch and the expected eleventh season, which is scheduled to launch on December 9. In that very short but mighty window, both completionists and casual players can really go all in to finish up their Battle Pass progress or ready their characters to tackle the next set of challenges ahead.
