Treyarch Studios has given the green light for the return of the now-famous multiplayer map, Nuketown 2025, to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which shall extend its official release on November 20. The new title in the franchise is due for a global launch on November 14 for all main platforms, meaning players would only have to wait a short six days for the series’ fan-favorite and one of the most requested small-sized maps, adding credence to earlier developer jibes of a rapid post-launch inclusion.
This prompt introductory content announcement bestows even more ominous details about the core online experience of the game. Following an open beta platform test on all platforms, Treyarch announced that Black Ops 7 will revert to a kind of matchmaking system that basically abandons the long-disputed practice of disbanding lobbies. This important step is a huge turnaround in response to a complaint voiced by the community for more than a year, thus marking a new commitment from the studio to the player feedback on lobby selection and the hotly contested use of skill-based parameters.
Aside from Nuketown’s immediate launch, the first season of content was described as the “largest ever” in the series’ entire history. The very first post-launch patch will be prepared to provide a genuinely massive collection of new and returning Multiplayer and Zombies maps. Multiplayer gamers can look forward to the much-loved return of Black Ops 2 maps, Standoff and Meltdown, with four other new competitive locales, including Fate, Utopia, Odysseus, and Yakei, in addition to seven new primary weapons.
The Zombies side will get an equal treatment of support, with three new maps planned for Season 1. One new round-based map, Astra Malorum, will release alongside the Survival map Exit 115, while a second Survival map, Zarya Cosmodrome, will then arrive as part of the mid-season update. Furthermore, Treyarch has confirmed the integration of seasonal Field Upgrades and Ammo Mods that were part of the previous Black Ops title into Black Ops 7 on the onset of Season 1, thus ensuring a solid launch window for the next chapter in the action series.
