Pre-load for the upcoming Ninja Gaiden 4 is live for the Xbox Series X|S and Windows Store versions of the hack-n-slash title, with it’s total download size confirmed for both versions as well. The download size for Xbox Series X|S version of Ninja Gaiden 4 is 36.82 GB while the PC version of the game weighs in at a considerably larger 54.9 GB which is pretty mild for a game released in 2025.
Though it’s worth noting that in it’s official system requirements on the PC platform, Ninja Gaiden 4’s storage was stated at a 100GB SSD so the game may actually take much more space eventually, especially with updates and DLCs.
Ninja Gaiden 4 on the Xbox Series X will run at both 60FPS and 120FPS modes, depending on whether you choose visual fidelity or raw performance. Though on a fast-paced hack-n-slash title where most of the times you’ll be busy blitzing through foes at breakneck speed, the 120 FPS mode will be much more appreciated and fitting. On the Series S though, the game will only run at 60 FPS which would still provide a perfectly buttery-smooth experience in every way.
The fourth entry in the legendary hack-n-slash series, Ninja Gaiden 4 is scheduled to arrive on October 21 for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PC, and Game Pass. Developed in collaboration between Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja and Platinum Games, Ninja Gaiden 4 will feature a whole new character named Yakumo, besides returning protagonist the iconic Ryu Hayabusa. The upcoming action title already has a DLC in the pipeline named ‘The Two Masters’ which features bonus weapons for both Ryu and Yakumo that reflect their personalities in unique ways.
Both editions of the game, the $70 Standard Edition and the $90 Deluxe Edition are currently up for pre-order at multiple online retailers (including both Best Buy and Walmart) and pre-ordering Ninja Gaiden 4 (both physical and digital copies) will also unlock a special in-game costume named the Dark Dragon Descendant skin for Yakumo.
