Blizzard Entertainment is already working to fix several key issues that appeared after the launch of Diablo 4’s Season 10 update, first reported by Wowhead. Adam Fletcher, the game’s Social and Content Marketing Director, confirmed on social media that a hotfix is in the works. It will specifically target a problematic Chaos Perk and address player feedback regarding the mechanics in the high-level Infernal Hordes activity. This quick response shows the development team’s dedication to improving new content introduced in the latest seasonal release.
The most immediate fix involves the “A Beast Cornered” Chaos Perk. Since the start of the season, players have reported that this perk was not functioning correctly, draining much more health from characters than intended. This severe drawback unintentionally affected build paths that depended on the perk’s benefits. Fletcher acknowledged the seriousness of the issue and confirmed that a fix has been made and will be included in the game’s next mandatory client patch.
Along with the perk fix, the upcoming patch will also bring much-needed changes to the Infernal Hordes endgame gauntlet. This popular challenge mode, which underwent significant changes in Season 10, has caused community frustration over its spires. Players often mentioned that needing to guide and kill enemies within the spires’ restricted areas slowed down combat flow. While specific details remain unconfirmed, the Director promised players that “some changes coming to spires to help” will ease this problem and improve the challenging endgame experience.
The Season 10 update added significant content to the dungeon crawler, introducing new features like Chaos Armor gear, more class-specific Unique items, and the high-density “Chaos Wave” Offering in Infernal Hordes. These planned adjustments are crucial in stabilizing the new seasonal environment. Although there is no official release date for the next client patch, the development team’s communication regarding these fixes suggests that players can expect quality-of-life and performance improvements soon. This will help ensure the longevity and enjoyment of the newly added features.
