Team Jade has announced a new operator named Raptor. He will join the free-to-play shooter Delta Force with its next seasonal update on September 23. This news comes after a successful year for the game, which launched its current season and expanded to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 consoles. The new operator is expected to add fresh dynamics to the game’s Recon class.
The new Recon class operator, whose real name is Landon Harrison, was first shown in a video on September 7. Raptor’s abilities focus on a drone called Silver Wing, which can mark enemies in its view and function as a guided bomb. Raptor also carries an EMP grenade to disable enemy electronics. Additionally, he has two tracking-focused traits: Trace Tracker reveals recent enemy footprints and operator details, while Trace Detection alerts the player when an enemy is aiming at them. These features should make the Recon class a stronger force in gameplay, providing both offensive and intelligence-gathering skills.
The upcoming season, titled “War Ablaze,” will not only introduce the new operator but also a new Warfare map, at least two weapons, and a new vehicle, the F-45A Fighter Jet. The developers have been actively working to improve the game’s multiplayer experience beyond just new content. They banned over 1,000 players for cheating between March 14 and March 20. They have also promised further improvements for console players in future updates, showing a commitment to the game’s long-term success.
With this new content and ongoing developer support, Delta Force is set to grow its player base, which has already increased significantly since its console launch. The next season arrives just over a month after the game’s console debut, providing new and returning players with fresh updates. This timing suggests a plan to keep players engaged and attract new audiences to the game.
