Bethesda will continue to support their spacefaring RPG epic Starfield with a whole new story DLC along with more contents headed to the game at some point. Veteran Bethesda developer Tim Lamb has recently confirmed in a new video discussing his career that the devs are currently working to bring substantial changes to Starfield’s gameplay including a new story DLC that’s excepted to come out in the near future.
“I think as it comes to Starfield, I’m really excited for players to see what the teams have been working on,” he stated. “We have some cool stuff coming, including free updates and features the players have been asking for, as well as a new DLC story.
“I can’t go into all the details just yet, but I will say part of the team has been focused on space gameplay to make the travels there more rewarding. We’re also adding some new game systems, and a few other smaller delights. There’s also some really interesting stuff coming down the pipe from our verified creators. There’s some fun stuff.
“I just want to say thanks. We really appreciate the support and the enthusiasm. We can’t wait to get it into the hands of our players.”
It was revealed earlier this month that Starfield may streamline the game’s space travel experience by restricting the player from flying the entirety of the distance between different systems, which is kind of similar to No Man’s Sky.
Starfield came out on the Xbox Series X|S and the PC platform back in September 2023 and since early 2024, there have been speculations regarding the game’s release on the Playstation 5. And in light of Microsoft’s recent Multi-platform strategy that sees the publisher releasing several of it’s First-Party titles on it’s rival platform as well as on other consoles, chances of Starfield being one of it’s multi-platform release that’s set to arrive on the Playstation 5 at some point certainly seems possible.
