The next installment in the widely acclaimed Forza Horizon series could be announced at the Tokyo Game Show this year, as recently reported by Windows Central, based on several documents that suggest a possible reveal as early as next month.
“We’ve seen official, widely circulated documents strongly suggesting that Forza Horizon 6 is actually planned to be announced during 2025’s Tokyo Game Show, an annual gaming-focused conference kicking off in Japan toward the end of September,” the report says.
Windows Central’s report has also been verified by Nate The Hate, one of the most trusted leakers in the industry, which adds further weight to the possibility of seeing a reveal of Forza Horizon 6 in just about a month. He also added that he isn’t sure if there will be a Nintendo Switch 2 version of the next title in the Forza Horizon series which is highly probable.
Also, the report of Forza Horizon 6 being set in Japan fits perfectly with the recent leak where an Australian company named Cult and Classic had posted and then promptly deleted a post on social media seemingly revealing that the next Forza Horizon title will be taking place in Japan.
Forza Horizon 6 was also hinted during the recent Xbox Games Showcase where Microsoft’s Phil Spencer had commented on Forza Horizon 6 arriving sometimes in next year which is also the 25th anniversary of the Xbox console.
“I’m excited to share that players will get to celebrate 25 years of Xbox with a new Fable, the Next Forza, Gears of War E-Day, and the return of a classic that’s been with us since the beginning.”
Forza Horizon 5 was released for the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Game Pass in November 2021, while also launching for the PlayStation 5 on April 29 this year. The game received wide critical acclaim upon release and is currently one of the most well-reviewed titles in the racing genre.
