Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero

If you have a Switch 2 or even the older Switch console, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has a special treat for you as pre-ordering the game for the handheld will unlock a slew of bonus characters that you don’t have to pay extra to get, which also includes some of the fan favorite characters as well.

The bonus characters include Goku’s child form from the most recent Dragon Ball anime, Dragon Ball Daima, three different versions of Gogeta (who is a massively popular character in the franchise) along with three different forms of Broly. By making these characters available right from the start, the Switch and Switch 2 versions of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero brings a lot more value to the game than all other versions available.

Here’s the list of characters that you’ll get by pre-ordering Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero on the Switch or the Switch 2:

  • Goku (Mini)
  • Gogeta (Base form)
  • Gogeta (Super Saiyan)
  • Gogeta (Super Saiyan Blue)
  • Broly (Base form)
  • Broly (Super Saiyan)
  • Broly (Legendary Super Saiyan)

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero on the Switch and Switch 2 comes in three different editions–the Standard Edition costs $60 and includes the base game, plus the bonus character unlocks if you preorder it. Then there’s the Digital Deluxe Edition (available for $90) containing the game’s Season Pass which includes a total of four new DLC packs, over 20 additional playable characters and more.

And finally there’s the $100 digital-only Ultimate Edition that packs everything in the Deluxe Edition plus a few more neat extras such as Goku’s (Super) costume with power pole, 1 customization item which increases a character’s fighting ability and more.

You can pre-order Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero on the Switch or the Switch 2 right now on all major online storefronts along with the Nintendo eShop.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero came out on 7th October 2024 for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S and the PC platform. The beat-em-up was released to generally positive reviews from the critics and quickly became a huge commercial success with over five million units sold worldwide. Boasting the largest roster ever seen in a Dragon Ball game, Sparking Zero is also set to get all the characters from the latest Dragon Ball Daima anime as part of it’s two DLCs which would boost it’s playability even further.
