HoYoverse has unveiled within a promotional video a precious gem of an information nugget, revealing one of the new characters in Genshin Impact, Aino. Much of the attention currently burns on Version 5.8 and Ineffa’s five-star introduction, but astute observers seem to have noticed something significant in the recent trailer featuring Ineffa: “Ineffa: Essentials for Home and Travel.”
In short flashes in the video, the sharp-eyed Genshin Afficiandos see Aino very much partnered with Ineffa and demonstrating clearly Hydro Vision. This all but confirms that Aino is a Hydro character and adds that little bit more to the already expanded cast of characters in Genshin Impact. Given her characterization and the manner in which she herself is introduced, there are heavy indications and speculation that Aino will be of the four-star-tier, registered as lesser to the far more front-facing Ineffa.
With the elemental profile in, some speculate Aino may function as a support character with considerable synergies with Ineffa. This speculation would be bolstered as Ineffa’s attacks could trigger the Electro-Charged effect by interacting with Aino’s Hydro skills, a combination which grants rather exciting new avenues for players in configuring teams and formulating combat strategies.
Official information on Aino is relatively sparse, other than her affiliation with the Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop found in the upcoming Nod-Krai region. This connection does bolster previous conjectures that Ineffa would play a significant role in ushering players into the new region, an annual event that continually updates with new content-crazy stuff like new maps to explore and almighty characters. The community is giddy for this expansion, especially with tantalizing teases of legendary figures like Varka and Alice around the corner.
