Bethesda has officially spoken on the future of Starfield via a recent statement, where the studio has confirmed that they are still working on updates and improvements for the game and will offer more information on some of the “Exciting things” in the next few months. And while the statement is a bit vague, it does indicate that more contents are on their way for Starfield that will impact the overall experience in more ways than one.
“Looking ahead, we’re continuing work on future updates and will share more about the exciting things we have planned for Starfield in the coming months,” Bethesda stated in a post accompanying Starfield’s latest patch 1.15.222 which is currently in it’s Beta form on Steam. And even though the patch itself offers only minor improvements along with some stability fixes, it does add a bit more polish into Bethesda’s epic Space RPG. Check out the patch notes below:
General
- Minor improvements to format and display in Creations menus.
- Addressed an issue that could cause that Extreme Temperature gear to appear incorrectly.
- Minor improvements to sorting in the Missions Menu.
- General crash and stability fixes.

Also, Bethesda’s official statement certainly raises hopes for the second expansion of Starfield that was promised previously along with the possiblity of the game coming to the Playstation 5 sometimes in the near future.
Starfield came out on the Xbox Series X|S and the PC platform back in September 2023 and since early 2024, there have been speculations regarding the game’s release on the Playstation 5. And in light of Microsoft’s recent Multi-platform strategy that sees the publisher releasing several of it’s First-Party titles on it’s rival platform as well as on other consoles, chances of Starfield being one of it’s multi-platform release that’s set to arrive on the Playstation 5 at some point certainly seems possible.
