Fortnite, the ever-changing battle royale game, has expanded its extensive collection of DC Comics superheroes by adding Cyborg. This new character completes the main team of the beloved 2003 Teen Titans animated series. Fans of the show can look forward to playing as this detailed cybernetic superhero in Chapter 6 Season 3.
The new Cyborg suit will be available in the Item Shop starting July 20. Players can buy it as a cosmetic for 1,500 V-Bucks or as part of a bundle for 1,700 V-Bucks. Fans of the original cartoon will enjoy the detailed design, featuring the character’s glowing blue panels on his arms and head. The bundle includes “Cy’s Booster Pack” Back Bling, the popular “Booyah” Emote, and a special LEGO Fortnite edition for that gameplay mode. This addition shows Fortnite’s dedication to the Teen Titans universe, following the release of previous characters. Raven and Beast Boy became playable in 2021, with Raven offered in various styles, including Rebirth, classic, and civilian looks. Starfire was added in September 2022, while Tim Drake’s versions as Robin and Red Robin appeared earlier this year. With Cyborg now in the game, all five main characters from the 2003 animated series are represented.
While the main Teen Titans lineup is complete, there are still some hints of lore that keep devoted fans guessing. Currently, Robin features Tim Drake instead of Dick Grayson, the first Boy Wonder and later Nightwing. Raven’s classic superhero outfit has mostly been replaced by Battle Pass options, with her street clothes being the default purchase. Despite these details, the focus this year on DC heroes suggests future expansions, potentially including new styles for Raven or a cameo from Nightwing. Fortnite’s history with DC characters, unlike its broader Marvel lineup, still features iconic heroes like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. Adding Cyborg to this list only strengthens the roster and reinforces the game as a colorful crossover for all major pop culture brands.
