Linux users are starting to set records on Steam usage charts. PC gamers realize that being trapped by Windows isn’t a necessity anymore, they can now make their own choices when it comes to software and hardware. The push by Valve has forced many to take Linux as a serious alternative, both for work and gaming. Serious gamers will be benefited by the improvements that the custom kernels can bring to them, and if they get serious enough, in some cases they can augment their FPS by a 50% increase. The decision is now yours, if you have abandoned the slop that is live service games, you are welcome to the club of freedom.
Linux users are becoming prevalent
Whether you bought a Steam Deck, or decided to use SteamOS on your PC, you are actually supporting Linux. Your Android phone is also built upon Linux, there’s no escaping the revolution of freedom in software and computing. Feature parity is pretty much 1:1, and even if it wasn’t for some reason, its still way better than being spied on by what’s meant to be your own system.
People also have the right to own their system, their hardware, and all components inside it when they buy them. Linux users know their rights well, and that’s why they opted to use Linux, aside from the myriad of advantages it brings. The on boarding has never been easier, SteamOS is pretty much an automatic setup, and if you want to have a handheld PC its pretty much a must have.
The old bloated Windows 11 cannot really do anything but slow systems down, it has been proven by many that by using SteamOS on your handheld PCs, you pretty much power them up. If you truly are a serious gamer or PC user, there’s no reason not to be a Linux user.
