There is a whole history behind the adult industry in Japan, one that won’t be touched upon here. The current Japanese Banks blockade on PC adult video games have left developers in the rags. This is yet another restriction on the art of making video games, enacted by terrible corporations. It is clear that many of these banking systems are tied to international law. We at Infinite Start will cover what happened.

No more adult content?

A legislation like this can severely damaged entire communities. Despite the moral position people would occupy in this regards, it is clear that this is an attack against art. Video games are a medium known for their freedom of expression, and it seems they are trying to take this away. It is endemic to see these kinds of bans in content that goes even beyond video games.

The only thing that will happen when trying to enact this bans, is that people will find other ways to profit. It is impossible to try and restrict art, and people will start fighting back against that. The Japanese gaming culture is known for having multiple popular adult games, spanning across generations and systems. Many of these also hold cultural relevance even to this day.

Japanese Banks blockade over the medium is truly frightening. It is clear that international carding companies are behind this. Japan is practically the last bastion when it comes to this art. Despite multiple regulations in the past, Japan has never given up to provide the world and their audience with interesting titles. While quality has dwindled considerably from the older days, it is important to try and preserve ones from our current days too.

It is saddening to see a medium crumble to dust by the day. One misses the glory days when people who made games, were also the players. Indies are the last hope we have, but seeing this kind of ban happening one can fear the worst.
