Minecraft is a classic, people still play it regardless of what era we live in, and it literally lived with many generations of players. From the early days when the internet was more fun, to the hell hole of an era that we live today, it is crazy to see how strong the game keeps going regardless. A new dimension is being released after 15 years, which is something unexpected and for the real players of the game something they have been waiting for along while. Alas, it is very important to say that this is not what true original players are expecting, we didn’t get the Aether dimension.
Minecraft grows bigger
Still, the fact that Microsoft now owns the game is rather troublesome because that’s essentially what keeps them afloat. I just want things to go back to what they used to be before the Microsoft ownership, alas, modern Minecraft just feels like some sort of mod pack instead of something simple where you creativity is unlimited and you have to figure things out. Now you have so many options that you simply are focused on optimizing routes, and optimizing everything to the point you don’t even play the game anymore.
It truly is a sad time for Minecraft, but that does not mean that all of the additions are a bad thing, as a matter of fact I believe that the Village Rework might have been one of the best things ever made for the game as Villages were quite plain in content. But leaving that aside, I wonder what could have been if Minecraft was never acquired by Microsoft, I feel like a ton of things would have gone different, and even if updates would have been slow, at least they would have felt like something meaningful to Minecraft.
