BLASTARD! is quite a funny name for this new PC game coming in Q2 of 2027, and if you are a big fan of Bomberman you should really check out this new trailer and take on the genre. Imagine if they combined Bomberman with random power ups and Roguelike elements, it truly changes things up and makes them more chaotic. I’m baffled that Konami couldn’t think of something like this but as we can see, indie developers are the ones holding the market together with the help of small companies in the industry. BLASTARD! looks to be a blast so far.

If you have never tried a Bomberman game, then what are you doing? Go and grab the current collection on Steam right now or find a way to play them any way you can. Perhaps you can just go blind into this one if you are in for something completely new that will blow your mind (pun totally intended). I would argue it might be better if you just jump into this game without having played Bomberman before to not ruin any illusion. Sometimes the best way to jump into something new is simply by not knowing the previous inspirations.
BLASTARD! looks like a fun game to try out, it will include online PVP, Online Co-op, and it even includes a split screen mode for people who want to see how classic couch gaming feels like. I believe that if you want a multiplayer game with some interesting dynamic then maybe this one might be your cup of tea. There is a ton to explore, and it definitely isn’t just a Bomberman clone, you will have to try it by yourself to see. However, there is not demo, but it would be good if the developers provided something before release.
