The Blood of Dawnwalker will be releasing on PC, which means it will only exist in digital format, something you can’t really own. Thankfully, GOG comes to the rescue by providing us with something we own when we buy it, the fact that GOG will have this huge game in their storefront means that there is a high chance to preserve this one without having to deal with any nasty DRM scheme. Now what we have to hope for is for the game to be good and everything to be fully crafted by human hands, it will be translated in many languages and have voice acting on those too.
The Blood of Dawnwalker coming to GOG
This is a huge opportunity for people who wants to get their hands on it but don’t want to give a dime to Steam for some reason. There is plenty of reasons on why you shouldn’t support Steam, even if they are the best store out there, and one of them is the fact that they have their own DRM placed upon everything you purchase. Even if the Steam DRM is very trivial to remove, the fact that it exists goes against the ethos of a platform that prides itself on being free and liberal.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is quite interesting in premise, as we play as a vampire and every single choice we make will affect the outcome of things in the story. Even if it is minor, all of those things seem to have an impact in the world and on the things we can do in it. Making such a game like this proves to be a very complex undertaking, and I hope all of this is being done with passion and love for making something cool, rather than a soulless amalgamation of slop like Crimson Failsert.
