Crimson Desert’s Upcoming DLC Could Bring Naval Gameplay, As Hinted by New Islands and Changes in Underwater terrains

Crimson Desert

Developer Pearl Abyss had confirmed earlier that a DLC for their open world action adventure title Crimson Desert is currently at works, and if some of the new reports are true, it could turn out to be a lot bigger and pivotal to the overall gameplay experience. First spotted by Wccftech, a user named NANGPLE on YouTube has recently posted some of his findings regarding Crimson Desert, which, according to many players, could actually be hints of the upcoming DLC that looks incredible promising and if true, can provide an exciting (and unexpected) addition to the game, boosting it’s playability even further.

The user has showed several interesting changes that have been made to the massive terrain of Crimson Desert by the devs including blue seaweeds appearing underwater and white sandy terrain near the coasts of the map. Changes have also been spotted outside of the explorable area of the game’s map, namely to the South Island region of the game world over the course of the last few patches, including a formation of a whole new path to a nearby island, indicating that the area may play a part in the upcoming add-on content.

And putting together a huge part of the total updated elements in the game world, it kind of seems that Pearl Abyss may add some form of naval gameplay into Crimson Desert, alongside several underwater segments in the same vein as the recently released Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. And while it may be too early to tell and the changes could simply be the developer improving the bio-diversity of the game world in small ways, but considering how much Pearl Abyss has managed to improve the game with updates and bring in multiple new gameplay mechanics altogether, the possibility is definitely there.

Check out the changes in terrain as shown in the video below and let us know what you think it could possibly lead to in the comments section.
