Developer IO Interactive has officially announced that their recent James Bond title 007 First Light has now surpassed a total of 4 million sold units worldwide, and has hit the impressive sales milestone in less than three months after launch. The official press release from IO Interactive has hailed 007 First Light as one of this year’s fastest selling videogames and with the game scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 16, the numbers of total sold units are sure to grow even further.
IO Interactive also attributed the roaring success of 007 First Light to the timeless appeal of the James Bond franchise which was created over half a century ago.

Moreover, the developer also emphasized that they’re committed to expand the experience with more in-game contents set to release throughout the year, as detailed in it’s one-year roadmap.
In other news of 007 First Light, the first post-launch content update for the game came out last month, which brought whole new Tac-Sim missions along with a string of new contents geared to increase the overall playability of the new James Bond title in many ways. The third person action adventure title’s first content update comes with two new Escalation missions, three new weapons, plus a new outfit, along with an enormous patch that includes fixes and improvements for “over 200 issues” in 007 First Light, as reported by the community.
007 First Light came out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on 27th May and swiftly became the highest rated James Bond title in the last 15 years, or even more. Selling past over 3 million copies in it’s first month and garnering a highly impressive 87 Metacritic score, developer IO Interactive’s 007 First Light shines vividly and is certainly the best Bond game in several decades.
