It seems the upcoming Extended look on Netflix for Rockstar’s GTA 6 could be even more hefty than we may think right now as it’s expected to run for 3 full episodes on the platform, showcasing various aspects of the Open world behemoth. Spotted by GameRant, a reddit user has noticed a mention of three episodes for GTA 6’s Netflix Extended Look on it’s Portugal site, although the website has been updated with the episode listing removed so you may want to take this with a grain of salt.
However, the three episodes were described to be pretty sumptuous as the first one had a runtime of 23 minutes and 37 seconds, the second one would run for a total of 24 minutes and 41 seconds, while the third episode was listed to be the shortest, running for 18 minutes and 29 seconds. And while these could simply be an error from the site’s part but the prospect of GTA 6’s gameplay as well as it’s enormous world being revealed in a series of episodes seem highly promising and fully worthwhile of what’s easily the biggest videogame of all time.
Also, if these are indeed real, it would set a new precedent for detailed showcases for videogames as we know it, which is what should be for GTA 6 considering it’s exponential scale and pedigree. These could also be multiple full-length trailers aimed at providing insights on various aspects of GTA 6, from it’s gigantic open world to it’s gameplay and characters.
Take-Two CEO had also stated the following regarding the extended reveal on Netflix, besides calling it the “first-of-its-kind partnership” with the Streaming platform: “I’m not prepared to tell you how it’s going to go, but I feel really good about it. And of course, some six hours after the initial launch on Netflix, it will be available on the Rockstar Games channel on YouTube, and I think ultimately many other outlets.”
So if you have a subscription to Netflix, you’ll be able to get a first look at some of the features of the most anticipated videogame of all time when it premiers on the platform at 3 PM ET on August 27, and will be available on Rockstar’s own Youtube channel at 9 PM ET on the same day.
GTA 6 is currently slated to launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026.
