Dreamsend: Wintersong just got a trailer, and it looks like quite the interesting PC game if you ask me. This is an SRPG game that is set in a cyberpunk world and while that might sound standard or even generic for some people, this one brings some very interesting elements that might be a first to the genre. If you are a fan of MOBAs, for some reason, this game will have similar ideas to that, of course all of that will be done for a single player game. MOBAs are quite the divisive genre because they are known to be toxic, but when you remove the online you get something awesome.
Dreamsend: Wintersong coming soon
We still don’t even know when Dreamsend: Wintersong will be coming, but considering there is a trailer and also a Steam page with images, the game is real. Considering how we are coming close to finishing the year of with some amazing releases, it is possible that this one will be dropping in 2027. Despite the fact that Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming very soon, Dreamsend: Wintersong does not compete for the same spot as it aims for a different demography, I think it won’t get overshadowed.
Considering this appeals to anime fans and also SRPG enthusiasts, it is clear that its trying to aim for a niche like the one Fire Emblem holds right now. Yet, it will try to do something different to not seem like a mere ripoff of the former game, which is a good thing because we already had a deluge of many clone games that didn’t put much effort into trying to be different from their inspirations. It’s neat to do a tribute for the franchises you like, but at least do something new like Dreamsend: Wintersong.
