Grim Dawn showcases amazing new expansion in 2026

Grim Dawn

Grim Dawn is getting a new expansion called Fangs of Asterkarn, this is huge because it might be one of the biggest expansions yet. At the very least compared to all other expansions, when it comes to item skill modifiers this is easily the best one yet. Get ready because that means that tons of new builds will emerge and opportunities to craft something unique will be at every corner. There is also a new game mode included with this new expansion, and it is called Ascendant, which is basically a sort of hard mode that allows you to ascend your equipment in exchange of making the game super tough.

Grim Dawn gets bigger

This is the expansion the game needed to become better, as Grim Dawn struggled with previous content updates that didn’t attract many people. The price point for this one is 18.99 USD, perhaps a bit on the expensive side, but considering all of the things it offers it feels like playing a whole different game for way cheaper. Back in the day expansions were also a way to distribute new game content and they were paid, Grim Dawn tries to hearken back the days of Diablo 2 when it was popular in the early 2000s.

I wonder what other expansions they will create for Grim Dawn, or if they are considering making a sequel to build upon the things this game already provides. Whatever they choose, I hope they do so successfully because we need more games like Grim Dawn in the industry. There is a ton of low effort triple A games that just seek taking money away from us with useless microtransactions, the industry needs more passionate people who can work together and independently of the big companies that threaten to destroy the hobby we all love.
