The Sinking City 2 was a release that nobody expected to happen, coming from the indie studio Frogwares there is a high chance this PC game won’t disappoint. It is clear that you will need to play the first one if you want to understand what’s going on with this one, so maybe you should wait for a sale on it, or wait for a sale on both if you aren’t sure you want them. The Sinking City 2 will crank up the horror even further, and it is clear that the Lovecraftian influence hasn’t yet left this piece of art.

If you are up to pre-purchase and put your faith into this project, you can do so right now and see what comes out of this. However, pre purchasing is almost never a smart choice because you don’t really get anything of value that you can’t get for just waiting and seeing if it is worth it. There’s also a remaster of the first game if you are interested, but I think the best way to experience it would be playing the original release from way back then. This is definitely not an horror game for everyone.
The Sinking City 2 will keep the nature of the first game intact, but its going to be even more brutal, so expect some sort of challenge coming from the first game because every good game has it. If you like blowing enemies up, this is also the game for you because it is a third person shooter. However, don’t think that you are some sort of invincible god, because that will only accelerate your demise. The Sinking City 2 is coming in August 18th, so if you still aren’t sure on getting it, at least put it in your wishlist.
