Kuro Games has finally pulled back the curtain on its long-anticipated collaboration with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, confirming that the crossover will officially launch in June 2026. After more than a year of relative silence following the initial project announcement in April 2025, a new gameplay trailer has revealed that fan-favorite characters Lucy and Rebecca will be joining the Wuthering Waves roster as playable 5-Star Resonators.
The update, which is expected to coincide with the Version 3.4 patch cycle, introduces the two mercenaries into the world of Solaris-3. According to the developer, players will be able to claim Rebecca for free, while Lucy will likely be tied to the game’s limited banners. The trailer showcases combat styles that remain faithful to the Studio Trigger anime; Lucy utilizes her signature Monowire for mid-range engagement, while Rebecca employs her trademark heavy firearms to deal high-impact damage.
While specific elemental alignments and weapon classifications for the new units remain under wraps, the crossover features a dedicated storyline where the “Edgerunners” seek a way back to Night City. The narrative appears to heavily reference the source material, with Lucy reportedly keeping “her sights set on the moon.” Eagle-eyed viewers also noted a brief cameo of David Martinez’s jacket in the teaser, though his specific role in the game’s story has not yet been clarified by Kuro Games.
This collaboration marks a significant period of expansion for the title as it approaches its second anniversary. Beyond the Edgerunners content, the studio is preparing for a major Xbox release in July 2026, which will include exclusive rewards for Game Pass subscribers. Between the influx of high-profile guest characters and the jump to Microsoft’s console, Kuro Games is clearly positioning its open-world RPG for a massive summer surge in its player base. Stay tuned for further technical details on Lucy and Rebecca’s kits as the June release date approaches.
