Crimson Desert keeps getting better and better as the open world action adventure title has just received a huge patch 1.04.00 which brings a plethora of new gameplay additions that are sure to increase your enjoyment of the game exponentially. And one of the biggest highlights of the newest patch is the new difficulties which successfully tailor Crimson Desert for all players so if you’re currently having a hard time with the game, you’ll love it after installing the latest patch.
The newly added difficulties are ‘Easy’ and ‘Hard’ and offer vastly different experiences for players with all types of skill levels in the game and developer Pearl Abyss has also provided a thorough overview of the difficulties:
Easy:
- Reduced damage taken by the player.
- Reduced maximum health, aggressiveness, and overall speed of opponents.
- Extended timing windows for Parry and Dodge.
- Reduced the frequency of bosses attempting to counterattack or escape when hit.
Hard:
- Food item effects won’t be applied immediately and will only take effect after the consumption animation is complete.
- Increased damage taken by the player.
- Increased maximum health, aggressiveness, and overall speed of opponents.
- Reduced the timing window for Parry and Dodge.
- Reduced the invincibility duration for Roll.
- Increased the frequency of bosses attempting to counterattack or escape when hit.
- Added additional combat patterns for certain bosses.

Crimson Desert also has a host of improvements and changes headed for all players between the months of April and June which will include the ability to replay all Boss battles that allows you to completely master all Bosses by figuring out and memorizing their moveset and other patterns. Another upcoming new feature is Re-blockading which lets enemies reclaim previously liberated locations so you can fight them again and have fun with Crimson Desert’s engaging combat.
