The update arrives as the developers attempt to maintain the positive player sentiment garnered during the previous season, while simultaneously reintroducing classic content like the remastered Plaza map from Black Ops 2.
The multiplayer adjustments center on two specific maps: Cliff Town and Beacon. On Cliff Town, the team smoothed out collision geometry that previously allowed players to find unintended sightlines, effectively ending “head-glitch” spots that broke the competitive flow. On Beacon, a more severe exploit was addressed that allowed players to clip outside of the boundaries of the playspace. For those climbing the competitive ladder, a critical fix was issued for Overload matches. Previously, a technical tie during overtime would occasionally result in an SR loss for the victorious team; this has been retroactively corrected to ensure progression is tracked accurately.
Zombies enthusiasts received a significant quality-of-life fix regarding the Mule Kick Perk-a-Cola. A bug involving the “Fully Equipped” minor augment—which is designed to increase equipment capacity—was found to be interfering with the player’s ability to control Klaus.
