Wartales has been awarded multiple spots in various gaming competitions due to it being an amazing PC strategy game. Fires in the Capital is the upcoming expansion, and it got a new trailer showcasing some very wild revelations that fans will understand. However, the reception seems mixed because people are finding it hard to support the DLC method Shiro Games is using, some are even citing that the quality isn’t even there anymore, which is rather worrisome. If I were them, I would try to look into the issues and see what things can be fixed, perhaps even make the DLCs cheaper.
Wartales gets bigger
In April, Wartales will grow even more and we will get a new campaign that expands on the story of Isandrin, a once prosperous realm that is engulfed by the flames of war and chaos. This all seems to happen from within the city, so perhaps this is a rebellion being carried by those oppressed by the fierce discipline imposed by this empire. The trailer does not really show us much of what’s happening, but some are trying to piece things together to understand what’s going on and that brings more theories to discuss.
There’s already a ton of DLCs for Wartales however, and I think that maybe they should tone things down and make a sequel instead of keep milking the same game with tons of expansions. As long as the price is cheap, then there isn’t much reason to complain but it does feel rather sly in a way to hook people with the initial game and then start drip feeding content to force them to buy the full experience. Dead Cells does this too, but at the same time it is an amazing game and every DLC seems to be done with care.
