Resident Evil Requiem happens to be the best game sales wise in the USA, at least for now, this is a massive record to have and it might end up securing a spot in the Game of the Year Awards. I have a feeling that this might be the best game so far, it has surprised many and it has even managed to capture core fans of the series by providing both puzzle solving and zombie butt kicking action too. Since Resident Evil 4 the series has taken a sharp turn towards another direction, and since then it has been changing many elements, but the goodness does not stop here.
Resident Evil Requiem is huge
If you still didn’t get into the sensation yet, you should, Resident Evil Requiem is an excellent game that makes old and new fans very happy despite the grievances of modernity. It literally does feel like a chat between the past and present of the franchise, and hopefully this opens up a door to see more new things coming in the future. Maybe for the sake of respecting the legacy of Resident Evil, we should receive a game with still camera angles and tank controls, just like the old days.
They did that in the GameCube way back, and it was pretty well received, people take it as an artistic choice and not as something outdated, the concept of outdated is also painted in a malicious way to sell you new stuff you don’t need. Regardless, even if they don’t do such a thing, and they will definitely never do such a thing if you ask me, I’m still happy to see Resident Evil Requiem have this level of success. It’s been decades since the first game, and one can’t think of what could possible come next for this series.
