Lies of P has received a massive new update that will add tons of fixes to the game. Along with this fixes, the most awaited and requested addition has dropped too, that is Boss Rush mode. Now fans of the game, including PC gamers, will be able to enjoy another play through of this amazing souls like title that truly blew the industry out of the water. This shows that Korea has great potential when it comes to game development, and in fact, they can create amazing titles whenever micro transactions aren’t involved. We at Infinite Start will cover all the things this update brings.
For those who are bad at Souls Like titles, rejoice! Difficulty options have been added to the game, and for those who are true experts, maybe there’s access to a super hard mode that will satisfy them. Now its the best time to actually give it a replay, or even buy the game in case you want to scratch that Souls Like itch that From Software won’t be covering for quite a while now. It seems that 2023 was the year to just copy the formulas that worked, but apparently Lies of P did it well enough.
The industry is stagnant for years now, and it seems that everything that hits the shelves is extremely derivative, or well, it does not hit the shelves cause physical media ceased to exist as we know it. We are in need of something that is truly original, truly new, something never seen before. This risk averse industry however is not wanting to change how they operate and its slowly sinking into an inescapable pit of greed.
At the very least, Lies of P seemed to be a pretty good game coming form the hands of a Korean studio, and we hope that they continue to engage with the medium in a way that favors quality.
