RTX 5060 TI is a big error and a waste of silicon in 2025

Nvidia decides to make another blunder with the RTX 5060 TI. The current affordable option on the 5000 series of Nvidia is actually quite a scam, all things considered. The GPU is underpowered in today’s harsh gaming environment, and with only 8GB of VRAM being the most “affordable” option, there’s better models to pick from. It is possible to find a GPU with 16GB of VRAM for around 350 dollars, provided you look into it hard enough. Nvidia also tends to be severely overpriced in certain regions, thanks to scalping issues that will never be solved. We at Infinite Start will cover the issues the RTX 5060 TI deals with.

RTX 5060 TI makes no sense

Our current year is 2025, there’s no real reason to actually get a GPU that can only deal with such a limiting amount of VRAM. Everything new struggles with 8GB of VRAM at max, and it will only get worse as “AI” slop generation becomes more common. Frame generation has been a technology that got game developers, or more specifically, game publishers to rush the job. Developers aren’t able to optimize their games due to the fact that publishers force them to do things quick, after all, developing a game is deemed to be easy by them.

There’s no solution to this issues, and day by the day the triple A industry keeps collapsing, there’s no titles to be hyped about that come from it. The indie space however, is currently thriving and relishing in tons of new releases, Hollow Knight Silksong is coming soon, and it will run on everything. The advantage of indie titles is their capacity to run on even the weakest pieces of hardware.

The only way to defeat the triple A industry, is playing quality indie games such as CrossCode. After all, the only gimmick that triple A games had going for it was their hyper realistic graphics. Bodycam is a good example of 2 indie developers doing what the triple A industry isn’t able to do, and that is, super advanced graphics. The graphics race is over, now artists can return to do actual art.
