Recent datamining within the Infinity Nikki community has sparked a heated debate, suggesting that Infold Games may reintroduce Limited-Time Revelation Crystals in Version 1.5. Infinity Nikki, despite its successful launch in December 2024 and subsequent updates, faced controversy with the initial introduction of these crystals in Version 1.0.
As a gacha game, banners are central to Infinity Nikki. While the game allows players to progress with free outfits, premium cosmetics, obtainable by spending Diamonds on Revelation Crystals, hold significant appeal. Version 1.0’s Limited-Time Revelation Crystals, however, sparked criticism due to their expiration after each patch. This decision prompted Infold to shelve the concept in later updates.
Datamined information by RaenoX, shared on the Infinity Nikki Leaks subreddit, indicates the potential return of these crystals in Version 1.5. The item description explicitly states their use within Version 1.5, suggesting a temporary currency. RaenoX previously accurately datamined Epiphany Crystals, later confirmed as a new currency for Version 1.4’s 4-Star banners. While Epiphany Crystals are confirmed, the fate of Limited-Time Revelation Crystals remains uncertain. They may be exclusive to Version 1.5, or Infold might abandon the concept altogether.
Version 1.5 is anticipated to be a substantial update, potentially introducing housing and dyes via Serenity Island. Some fans speculate that Infold might distribute a generous amount of Revelation Crystals without disrupting its planned scarcity. Despite being a top-20 gacha game in earnings, Infinity Nikki aims to broaden its audience, and Version 1.5 could facilitate this, regardless of the inclusion of limited-time currency.
Considering the negative feedback from fans on the Limited-Time Revelation Crystals, Infold is expected to handle the situation very carefully, showing its responsiveness to player feedback using quality-of-life improvements and other adjustments to various store-exclusive outfit costs.
To conclude, Version 1.5 is pretty much very close, being slated for release on April 28.
