Gacha addiction ruins 19% of Japan’s Adult Population

Gacha addiction is a real problem that affects the majority of us. While addiction for a medium is very rare, those that simulate the same psychological responses as that of a casino take a toll on the mental health of gamers. Unfortunately, this has caused people to see video games as a threat, similar to the religious outrage that happened in the 90s. The only thing gacha brought to the industry is a bad reputation, and a terrible disease called gacha addiction. If you are an user of one of these games, it is important to just stop supporting them, they leech of your time and money. We at Infinite Start will cover what this plague did to Japan.

Gacha addiction cripples adulthood

This addiction has crippled around 19% of Japanese adults, and perhaps even more. This might seem like a small percentage, but this disease unfortunately grows like a tumor. The only objective of gacha games is to siphon the most amount of money with the lowest quality possible. The newer generations are raised and conditioned to believe this sort of micro transaction garbage is natural, and we are losing them to it.

In Japan, gacha and gambling has become normalized, as it is ideal to keep your population controlled and addicted instead of smart. That way, there can be nothing in the way of big companies who provide them with these destructive options. Unfortunately, this percentage can rise in the coming months, and it truly saddens everyone to see their loved ones suffer from this.

There is a silver lining however, organizations are trying to fight against this kind of slop that consumes livelihoods. There’s institutions that also do their best to heal gambling addicts, and gacha addiction also falls in that same category, it is nothing more than a casino, with a coat of generic anime paint on top of it.
