The Next Battlefield is Expected Around Fiscal Year 2026, EA states

The next installment in the iconic Battlefield franchise is expected to arrive sometimes around the Fiscal Year of 2026, EA has stated while reporting the company’s financial results for the third quarter of its current fiscal year which will end in March 2025. According to EA, the next entry in the longstanding series of military action first person shooters is currently on route to an “expected fiscal year 2026 release.”

This essentially means that the next Battlefield is currently projected to release at some point around March of 2026. And while an official launch window is not confirmed so far, it’s important to remember that generally the Battlefield titles were released during the later half of a year, which means around Sept to Oct, so it may not be too much of a stretch to hope for a possibility of release during that time frame in next year.

Also, the game is currently at it’s Pre-Alpha state which means it’s still a long way for the development process, however as the next Battlefield title is being crafted by a total of four development teams with proper distribution and streamlining between all of them, it would not be completely unreasonable to expect a 2026 release for the game.

BattlefieldBattlefield

The teams currently working on the next Battlefield game are the series’ original Sweden-based developer DICE, Dead Space remake and Star Wars: Squadrons developer Motive, U.S. studio Ripple Effect, and UK–based Criterion Games from Need for Speed Unbound (as well as the Burnout series of racing games) who has recently joined development for the next Battlefield.

With this many teams at the helm of the next Battlefield, the game certainly looks to be the most ambitious and promising entry in the series, and will probably evolve lots of key gameplay elements seen from the franchise to whole new levels of possibilities in both exciting and unexpected ways. You can watch the recently unveiled gameplay footage right here, it’s a real delight for all fans of the series.

Stay tuned for more news updates on the next Battlefield game.
