Pokémon Announces Partnership with Gamescom LATAM

The Pokémon Company is coming on board officially with Gamescom LATAM 2025 to unveil a lineup of Pokémon experiences at one of Latin America’s biggest gaming shows (noted by Games Press). The convention, which ran on May 1-4 in São Paulo, Brazil, will feature exclusive merchandise, play zones, and interactive stand for the franchise community.

Pokémon at Gamescom LATAM 2025

Pokémon will launch initially at Gamescom LATAM with a physical and digital mix of activities that will interact with attendees. Some of the highlights include:

  • Pokémon GO AR Missions – Augmented reality, location-based missions in-venue where attendees can play in-person.
  • Exclusive Pokémon Universe Experience – Immersive environment with interactive touchscreens and demo gameplay.
  • Official Merchandise Booth – Exclusive launch collectibles and Pokémon badges for attendees to redeem.
  • Pokémon Trading Card Game Demonstrations – Experience playing with the pros and live sessions.

The partnership is a milestone in Pokémon’s expansion in Latin America since it offers greater hands-on exposure for local fans compared to events organized across North America, Europe, and Japan.

Since it was originally begun in 1996, Pokémon has grown into one of the world’s best-known and top-grossing brands. From console main series games, portable games, collectible cards, and a merchandising giant, Pokémon extends far and deep across global markets.

Gamescom LATAM 2025 will also host other major players in the industry like Steam, among other regional independent developers and publishers. The event aims at bringing together industry experts, revealing new games, and presenting a community-focused gaming event.

With Pokémon included, Gamescom LATAM 2025 will attract an even larger worldwide audience, cementing its status as a gaming convention powerhouse in Latin America. Fans who cannot wait to be there are already in a position to buy their ticket to Gamescom LATAM 2025 so they won’t miss this Pokémon treat. That said, one could say that Pokemon fans are more than excited about this partnership.
